So what is the Mandelbrot set?

The Mandelbrot set is a fractal that is graphed on the complex plain. The X axis is the real part (a) and the Y axis is the imaginary part (b*i). By taking an imaginary number and squaring it and adding it to its self over and over again, then seeing wether the value trends to infinity or stabilizes you get this shape. The black are numbers that stabilize, and the more white the pixel is the more iterations it took to trend to infinity.
